One Minute Power Tip:

1. People change things that are vital and essential to them. Whether it's becoming a better parent, quitting drugs or getting a promotion, when something is absolutely ESSENTIAL, human beings find a way to do it. An acquaintance of mine tried without success to change his lifestyle for years. After his heart attack, he became a vegetarian and quickly lost almost fifty pounds.

Many of the things we want aren't "that important" to us. They are desirable, but they are not "necessary" and so we put them off, we become distracted, we "forget" and things don't change. When you want your goals as badly as a kid wants a new toy, or as badly as a teenager wants a driver's license, or as badly as you want your next breath of air, you'll find a way.

2. People under-estimate the power of their environment. Many people have attended a seminar where they renewed their goals and vowed that "this time nothing will stop me!" Then they fly home, walk in the door and are hit with "can you pick up pizza on your way home?" They go to the office and are hit with paperwork, phone messages or whatever, and they are quickly defeated. The people, places, demands and "furniture" of our lives keep us trapped. To change yourself, change your surroundings!

3. People forget that change always starts as an "inside job." Change always begins with an idea. Every invention starts in someone's imagination, every new skill begins by believing we can "do it." Every lasting change happens inside our head first, and in the outer world second. Too often we get that sequence reversed and say, "If I were more successful, I'd be more generous." It doesn't work that way. Start first with yourself and your beliefs. Your outer world will quickly "catch up."

Charming Your Way to the Top

Charisma is a person’s ability to influence other people in a rather positive way. It is accomplished by connecting with them physically, intellectually, and emotionally. Charisma is all about relationship and how people regard you.

Charisma can definitely be developed. Anyone can add more to his or her persona. And being charismatic has a lot of advantages. The most of common of which is the possibility of being chosen the leader of a group.

There are ways you can improve your charisma. Just always remember that charisma is not something you are born with; it is something you develop. Here are some ways you can work on improving it.

1. Improve your physical health. Charisma has a lot to do with your image and how people see you. That is why your physical health and hygiene is very important. Always strive to look good, neat, and appealing. This will be your first real step in achieving your goal.

2. Carry yourself effectively. As you pass by, you should give off a certain air of confidence. Looking at the ground at all times is not going to help. Hold your held erect and look other people in the eye. Don’t forget to smile as often as you can.

3. Improve the way you speak. Public speaking and the power of persuasion should come in full force. Oral communication skills matter a lot. Talk with assurance. Modulate your voice as necessary and express your views whenever appropriate.

4. Listen better. Speaking all the time is not good. As a future leader, you should also be good at listening to what other people have to say. Listening does not simply mean you stop talking and let somebody else do it. It means you pay attention so that you fully comprehend what the other person wants to impart.

5. Become an avid reader. A lot of charisma points are added to people who seem to know a lot. Stimulate the intellect of others. Start a good conversation and keep it going. You need not be an expert on a lot of things. Knowing a little bit about many subjects is good enough.

6. Teach others. Volunteer your proficiency. If there are things that you are really capable of, do not hesitate to take on the chance to share them with others. Knowledge shared is a lot more fulfilling than knowledge acquired. Keep this in mind at all times.

If you want to be successful, charisma is one of the traits you cannot do without. Charisma can definitely take you places. Improve on it as much as possible because the benefits are immeasurable.

There is an in-depth A to Z directory of Health Problems that I am still adding to every day, but they are well on the way. On some subjects we have also created comprehensive free reports about that specific subject, and some short e-courses for you to learn even more over the following weeks.


This site tries to find every natural form of treatment to tell everyone about, not just settling for the drugs usually prescribed, so its especially helpful for people who like to try out home remedies first. Apart from giving really comprehensive information about each health problem, each page asks invites visitors to contribute their own experiences with a specific health concern, or share their health solutions with the readers, and I would really appreciate it if you could all stop by and add your notes on any health issues you have successfully dealt with.

Chocolate RULES!!!!

If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.

Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices & strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.

The problem: How to get 2 pounds of chocolate home from the store in hot car. The solution: Eat it in the parking lot.

Diet tip:

Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite and you'll eat less.

A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Isn't that handy?

If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?

If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights, and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves.

If I eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate, is that a balanced diet? Don't they actually counteract each other?

Money talks. Chocolate sings.

Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger.

Q. Why is there no such organization as Chocoholics Anonymous?

A. Because no one wants to quit.

If not for chocolate, there would be no need for control top pantyhose. An entire garment industry would be devastated.

I'd give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter!!! Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.

Living Will: Last night, my friend and I were sitting in the living room and I said to her, "I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug." She got up, unplugged the TV, and threw out my wine. She's such a bitch.....
